Do you have a sponsor program for your adult sites? Whatever the answer is this article can dramatically change the level of income you generate from having a sponsor program.
I have four paysites that I run, I probably waited too long to start my sponsor program but hell better late than never. I have in the past run a very successful sponsor program for an e-book I sold, so I've learned that it's very hard to find good people to signup for your program. Especially ones that bring alot of traffic and in turn create revenue. My choices right now to attract people to my program are as follows: write articles and mention my sponsor program, advertise on adult webmaster sites or send out e-mails to adult webmasters. Thing is it takes time for people to come to your sponsor program site and look it over and then signup. It takes time to download banners and set them up with the special code. Most sites are already promoting sites and are pretty happy with the situation. So for the most part we sit back and watch a few people signup for our programs here and there. We all want that big whale to come in and signup for our program and make us rich so how do we find them?
We all know that out of all the people that signup to promote our sites only a few are "big whales." You can have hundreds people promoting your sites and all together only send a trickle of traffic and signups. What we should do is go after these "big whales" and offer them a deal they can't refuse. Thing is how do we find these guys? You won't find them sending bulk mail promoting your program, through banner ads or through message boards. These guys are busy making money and have little time to look at the next new program. You have to look hard, read on and I'll show you how.
Here are three ways of hunting them down:
- Attend adult internet conferences.
- See who ranks highly in several important search engines.
Let's start with the search engines.
Here's how to find the big whales. Go to meta search engine Ixquick -
http://www.ixquick.com/
On Ixquick, a site gets one star for every major search engine (such as AltaVista, HotBot and Excite) that scores it in its Top 10. So this is a fast way to check nearly every major engine at the same time. Unfortunately, Ixquick doesn't include the best search engine, Google, in its searches. So you'll have to try it separately. Also, I've noticed that Ixquick often doesn't accurately search AltaVista. So for some really serious big whale hunting, you'll need to check AltaVista, too. Even with these problems IXquick is still a very useful tool. Let's assume you want to try to locate the big whale who has just won the Hummer or Z3. He probably has the site with the most traffic coming in. Look for the most popular adult keywords at IXquick, Google and AltaVista. For example, try a search on sex and you get these in the top ten:
http://www.adultrevenueservice.com
http://www.sexland.dk
http://www.sexlegal.com
Try a search for "teen sex" at Ixquick and you'll discover these sites:
http://www.allteensexclub.com
http://www.xxxteenpussy.de
http://www2.newteensex.com/
So after all this searching can you spot who won the Hummer or Z3? It could be one of the sites I've already named. The big whales are the ones who know how to be highly ranked in search engines - and can ALSO turn that traffic into signups. Problem is this way is very slow and isn't reliable. My friend Neil Shearing has hired a talented Perl programmer to write a script, which hunts down super affiliates it's at: http://www.adultsiteworkshop.com/spider/
You just access a web site and start using it . You can use it to locate successful sponsor promoters and learn from their techniques. You can use it to find competitors' big whales and offer them a better deal with your sponsor program. You can identify big whales or "portal" sites and persuade them to link to you, improving your rankings in search engines such as Google which place importance on link popularity.
